Course Objective

Designing "stage costumes" for Performing Arts field in the computer environment with the support of "Fashion Studio Fashion and Pattern ,Design and Adobe CS 6 and Skechbook Program, ".
With Adobe Photoshop, a computer-aided fashion illustrations to prepare the project design layouts, create a collage and other materials.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to solve problems at design and production stages, have a critical perspective, be able to produce solutions
2   Develop the skill of creating, producing and presenting costumes for performing arts with innovative applications that carry creative, authentic, esthetical values
3   Be able to present his/her practices to his/her audience by using theoretical knowledge he gained in the field of performing arts
4   Be able to carry out design/practice tasks by using different methods of his/her field
5   Be able to evaluate the theoretic information in the field of Performing Arts in light of information he/she gained during his/her practice and put this theoretical information into practice
6   Develop special skills in the field of Performing Arts

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Concepts will be conveyed with presentation technique; all concepts will be illustrated and supported by printed visual media and various products of visual arts.

Practical information about the program will be conveyed by being practiced one-to-one; cognitive, affective and psychomotor behaviors will be brought in via technique of experiencing the application, and these will be illustrated by sections from the related artwork on printed media and visual arts.

Homework will be followed-up by structured discovery technique, principles, concepts and solutions to possible problems and related data will be taught by instructor of the lesson and will be organized by samples. Students will be aided by asking questions in order for them to analyze the data they have and find solutions.

Assessment Criteria

Applied Examination: "Application designed under computer environment" will be evaluated with the help of a chart in which properties special to the program are listed.

Originality, accordance with scientific research criteria, source-data searching, and presentation-expression method will be evaluated with an evaluation chart that contain technical and esthetical criteria. At the same time, to which level students creatively use general properties of the program will be measured.

2. All kinds of commitments of plagiarism will be penalized.
3. Being not attended the lesson will not be accepted as a valid excuse for late delivery of homework.
