Course Objective

Introduction to air law, terminology, features and classes, introduction to Turkish air law, role of Turkish civil aviation legislation and the general directorate of civil aviation, Aviation international, national and regional organizations, conventions, contracts, carrier responsibility for Airway transport, aircraft and aircraft transport contracts, Passenger rights, Competition law and cooperation in aerospace, Basic knowledge of aerospace instructions for the cab team.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to familiar with international, national and regional contracts and organizations related to air law.
2   Students will be able to familiar with the responsibility of the passenger rights, the carrier and the operating person.
3   Students will be able to familiar with the responsibility of the passenger rights, the carrier and the operating person.
4   Students will be able to familiar with competition law and cooperation in airline transport.
5   Students will be able to International Civil Aviation organizations; ECAC, IATA, Euro Control, JAA, EASA will learn about the regulations and regulations of SHGM.

2 International and national organizations, regional organizations and other organizations regulating civil aviation activities.
3 Conventions regulating international civilian airline transport activities.
4 Contracts regulating international civilian airline transport activities
5 Other contracts regulating international civilian airline transport activities.
6 Bilateral air transport agreements, types and bilateral air transport agreements in Türkiye.

8 The carrier's responsibility for airway transport, transportation documents in Turkish air law and national legislation on the carrier's responsibility.
9 Role of national legislation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in airway transport

Assessment Criteria

Exams: There will be held on two in class exams; midterm exam and final exam during the semester.
Grades: 50 % Midterm Exam, 50 % Final Exam, 50 % Make-up Exam.
