Course Objective

The purpose of Crew resource Management (CRM) training is to provide students necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to promote safety and in parallel, enhance the efficiency of flight safety by making optimum use of human resources, minimize human errors, reducing aircraft accidents and incidents.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to have theoretical knowledge of CRM.
2   Students will be able to learn about the importance of human factors in aviation
3   Students will be able to acquire information about Human error and reliability, chain of error, error prevention and detection
4   Students will be able to understand and apply the proper communication and coordination skills, human performance and its limitations and decision making process
5   Students will be able to gain the ability of threat and error management, nd team behaviour, synergy and situational awareness
6   Students will be able to have relevant information about resilience development and surprise and startle effect

Assessment Criteria

Exams: There will be held on two in class exams; midterm exam and final exam during the semester.
Grades: 50 % Midterm Exam, 50 % Final Exam, 50 % Make-up Exam.
