Course Objective

Its to teach non-madicated practices at the scene in order to save life or preven the situation from getting worse, until the help of the health team is provided in cases such as accidents, diseases that endanger the life or health of people.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to learn the basic applications of first aid, evaulate the crime scene and ensure its safety.
2   Students will be able to learn the basic structures and tasks related to the human body.
3   Students will be able to evalatue the sick and injured; will be able to apply first aid in bleeding, shock, injury, sprain, fracture and dislocation.
4   Students will be able to apply first aid in temperature variables and consciousness disorders.
5   Students will be able to apply first aid in poisoning and insect/ animal bites.
6   Students will be able to provide first aid in drowning and apply patient transport techniques.

Exams: There will be held on two in class exams; midterm exam and final exam during the semester.
Grades: 50 % Midterm Exam, 50 % Final Exam, 50 % Make-up Exam.
