Course Objective

The aim of this course is for the student to gain knowledge and experience about contemporary / new dramaturgy approaches by doing theoretical and practical studies. .

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, students will have knowledge about new dramaturgy approaches,
2   Learn the ethnodrama method and examples,
3   Will produce a text by learning the stages of creating a dramatic text with ethnodrama,
4   Learn by examining examples of transforming non-dramatic material into dramatic text and creating a show,
5   They will transform non-dramatic material into a dramatic show text

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

In the papers of the student, it will be evaluated weather the student has been digesting and using the theoric knowledge given within the frame of the course, weather the student is interpreting the text analysis right and sufficient.
Faults and missing parts will be completed through the argumentative discussion sessions of the course.

Assessment Criteria

The following criteria will be taken as basis in all course processes such as homework and projects, lectures, presentations and discussions.
1 Doing the work on time.
2 To have adequately researched the relevant source and used it in accordance with ethical / scientific rules.
3 Being able to interpret concepts, develop them, and find their equivalents in real life
4 To be original, creative and a problem solver in working processes.
5 Bringing new approaches.
6 To produce a completed product.

Course Policies and Rules

Attendance at 80% of the course is mandatory.
Students are obliged to read the plays and bibliographies of the play texts related to the course to be taught in each course.
It is mandatory to submit all presentations and assignments on time and in full.
In assignments and studies to be submitted in writing, the written expression must be neat and meticulous, and the subject must be expressed in written language using scientific methods.
A plagiarism program will be used and ethical principles will be observed.
