Course Objective

To enable dentistry students to have information about the use of platelets and platelet concentrates in dentistry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understands the biological properties of platelets and the importance of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) in wound healing.
2   Knows the clinical importance of PRP and PRF
3   Learns how to obtain PRP and PRF.
4   Knows the usage areas of PRP and PRF in regenerative endodontics.
5   Knows the usage areas of PRP and PRF in periodontal and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
