Course Objective

To inform about health law and related basic concepts, patient rights within the framework of national and international legislation, informed consent and medical malpractice in medical interventions, some crimes that may find application in terms of physicians and healthcare professionals.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have knowledge of health law and related basic concepts.
2   Have knowledge about patient rights within the framework of national and international legislation.
3   Have basic knowledge about the physician's legal and criminal responsibility, patient rights and informed consent concepts.
4   Evaluate the legal responsibility arising from medical interventions.
5   Explain the criminal liability of physicians.

Assessment Criteria

1. The student should be able to easily define the concepts in economic news.
2. The student should be able to use the necessary economic concepts in explaining the decision-making processes of consumers and companies.
3. The student should be able to distinguish market structures in which certain products are produced and sold.
4. The student should be able to realize how the markets are balanced with the forces of demand and supply.
5. The student should be able to recognize the concepts and topics of economics used in library resources.
