Course Objective

In the course, Ottoman material cultural works required for a museum will be discussed and the environment in which they emerged will be explained. The characteristics of Ottoman culture and civilization will be examined. The cultural universe where the Ottoman civilization was affected and will be determined.

4   Having knowledge about the Ottoman numismatics

10 Everyday life and everyday life materials in the Ottoman Empire.
11 Ottoman civilization and palace patronage.
12 Ottoman intellectual spaces.
13 Ottoman art; understanding of art, interactions, periods.
14 Ottoman art; examination of works of art, samples.
