Course Objective

This course is based on the management of artistic activities to be performed in cultural and artistic venues, including museums. In this course, the things to be done for the purposes such as choosing works for cultural events, exhibiting, creating a budget, bringing the works with the visitors through the promotion, ensuring the activity and visitor continuity will be discussed.

3   Understanding of duties and responsibilities as manager and organizer in art events and institutions

2 Understanding the establishment policies, functions and qualities of art institutions
3 Learning artworks and artist related legal regulations and practices
4 To know art events and organizations, to learn about their functions and working systems

6 To obtain basic information about the operation of the art institution
7 Spending on art institutions and events and efforts to create financial resources for them

9 Understanding the duties and responsibilities, knowledge and skills of the art director
10 Perceiving the supply-demand and expectations of the contemporary art market
11 To learn the planning and organization stages of an art event
12 To learn the planning and organization stages of an art event
13 Examining the management practices of art institutions in the world
14 Examining the development and management of official art institutions in Türkiye
15 Examining the structuring and management of private museums and cultural institutions
