Course Objective

The aim of this course is to educate qualified students in the field of properties of poisons and profilaxis, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of poisonings.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns the concept of poison
2   Has knowledge about the types of toxicities and toxicokinetics
3   Learns to apply the knowledge gained in the approach and solution to poisoning
4   Has the knowledge to use diagnosis and treatment methods in poisoning with herbal and animal poisons.
5   Learns diagnosis, treatment and prevention methods in poisoning with inorganic poisons.
6   Gains knowledge about the effects of pesticides and industrial poisons in the environment and living things and learns the diagnosis and treatment approach in poisoning cases.
7   Has information of euthanasia methods and euthanasia drugs
8   Learns to monitor and implement developments and solutions in this field
