Course Objective

To enable the student to use his / her foreign language knowledge in the field of clinical veterinary medicine, to be able to write reports on animals, to be able to participate in conversations on clinical veterinary medicine, to acquire the ability to communicate to a large extent to express thoughts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns the common terms that have been developed to describe animals at various stages of their lives.
2   Identifies the common terms used to indicate birthing and grouping of animals.
3   Understands the logic of the language of clinical veterinary medicine.
4   Identifies and recognize the various parts od medical terms: prefixes, roots, combining forms, and suffixes.
5   Learns and recognizes directional and positional terms, and terms specifically related to animal body areas.
6   Understands the components and functions of the integumentary system.
7   Identifies and recognizes the meanings of word parts related to the integumentary system, using them to build or analyze terms.
