Course Objective

To give information to students by explaining the behavior in different animal species and the mechanisms underlying these behaviors.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Definition of behavior, knows the neural and hormonal systems including animal behavior.
2   Explains the effects of domestication on behavior.
3   Knows and explains the resting and sleeping behaviors of animals.
4   Knows behavioral changes in animals depending on heat and environmental conditions.
5   Knows the feeding and destructive behaviors of animals according to species.
6   Explains sexuality and maternal behaviors in animals according to species.
7   Knows the differences in play and social behavior in puppies.
8   Knows the effects of stress on behavior in animals.
