Course Objective

To give teoric and administrative information about diagnosis and treatment protocols of infertility.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have knowledge about the current methods used in the treatment of infertility in domestic animals
2   Learns the relationship between infertility causes and management and nutrition
3   Has knowledge of infertility and economic prosperity of udder diseases and current approaches in dairy herds
4   Learns the causes of infertility and diagnostic methods in domestic animals

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Spesific infections may be resulted in abortion in farm animals.
2 Spesific infections may be resulted in abortion in horse, dog and cat .
3 Problems of puerperal period.
4 Uterine prolapsus. Postpartum uterine infections: acute metritis, subacute metritis.
5 Metabolic diseases: hypocalcemia in cows, pregnancy toxemia in sheeps, lactation tetany in mares and eclampsia in dogs.
6 Main description about fertility, infertility and sterility.
7 Importance of infertility.
8 Infertility in large ruminants
9 Infertility in large ruminants
10 Infertility in small ruminants
11 Infertility in small ruminants
12 Infertility in mares.
13 Infertility in mares.
14 Infertility in cat and dogs.
