Course Objective

It is aimed to gain necessary knowledge and skills to students studying in veterinary medicine about the functions of cell membrane, organelles and nucleus, blood physiology, muscle physiology and nervous system physiology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explains the introductory concepts of animal physiology and explains homeostatic principles
2   Knows and explains the general structure and components of the cell.
3   Knows and explains the transport mechanisms of the cell membrane.
4   Explains the formation, morphology, properties and special functions of blood cells.
5   Learns blood, muscle and nervous system physiology comparatively in animals.
6   Gains practical and theoretical knowledge on blood, muscle and nervous system physiology as a basis for their clinical education.
7   Follows the current information in the field of physiology, develops the skills of using scientific methods in the profession.
8   Knows and defines the relationship between body and environmental temperature in animals.
