Course Objective

To teach the anatomical structure and examination of the foot in single and double-hoofed animals and the diagnosis, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in this region.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students learn about the anatomy of the foot region of equidistant and bipedal animals.
2   Students learn about foot care and factors that cause lameness in single and double-hoofed animals.
3   Students learn about horn hooves and live hoof diseases in ungulates.
4   Students learn about the diseases of the skin of the feet and the deep tissues of the feet in ungulates.
5   Students will have information about the operations performed in the foot area of single and double ungulates.
6   Students learn about nail and foot diseases in equidae, and about horseshoe, shoeing and therapeutic horseshoe applications.
