Course Objective

The objectives of this course are to; - understand the role of exercise and health related physical fitness in the improvement and maintenance of total health as an integrated concept. - understand the physiological and morphological bases for the prescription of exercise designed to enhance aerobic fitness, body composition, muscular fitness, and neurological fitness. - attain a conceptual understanding of fundamental physiological principles as they pertain to human adaptation to acute and chronic physical activityThe objectives of this course are to; - understand the role of exercise and health related physical fitness in the improvement and maintenance of total health as an integrated concept. - understand the physiological and morphological bases for the prescription of exercise designed to enhance aerobic fitness, body composition, muscular fitness, and neurological fitness. - attain a conceptual understanding of fundamental physiological principles as they pertain to human adaptation to acute and chronic physical activity

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able learn the acute acute and chronic physiological systems to exercise.
2   To be able to learn basic principles of performance related physical fitness.
3   To be able to learn how to compare different individual physiological adaptation according to their performance level and gender.
4   To be able to evaluate articles related to exercise physiology.
5   Determining of exercises intensity

10 Neuromuscular function and adaptations to exercise basic function of the nerve proprioceptors -muscular contraction

12 Function of skeletal muscle -structure -the basis for contraction -motor units type I and type II fibers

14 Muscular strength: defination and types of contcantrations -Causes of muscular fatigue
