Master of Science program in Geriatric Physiotherapy was established in 29.09.2010 with the legislation number 4806-35863 by The Council of Higher Education under affiliation of Institute of Health Sciences corded with the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. |

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |

Second Cycle (Masters Degree) Program with thesis is comprised of courses (at least 54 ECTS), a seminar (2 ECTS), and field study (4 ECTS) and thesis (60 ECTS) credits. In total 120 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB / S / TP grades. |
Profile of the Programme |
Master of Science program in Geriatric Physiotherapy was established in 2010. The program aims to raise professionals with theoretical and clinical knowledge, presentation skills, as well as the ability to follow scientific developments who can contribute to the field with scientific studies and practices. The program also aims to support the multidisciplinary team with specialized physiotherapists in this field in order to improve and increase the quality and the standards of health and rehabilitation services for geriatric population. The program consists of compulsory and elective courses. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The students are evaluated by one mid-term and one final exam and the overall success in project and homework. In order to be successful the student needs to be rated over 75/100 in average for a lecture. |
