Course Objective |
|
Primary aim of this course to give some insights on corpus-based translation studies by giving special emphasis upon so-called translation universals. Translation universals, namely explicitation, simplification, normalization, leveling out among others, will be analyzed and tested considering different language pairs. |

|
In this course attendance is compulsory. Students are expected to read given assignments and prepare a report on them with two questions they raise for each article before coming to class. Each student is expected to conduct an individual research based on course-content. |
