Course Objective

The course aims to provide the necessary background for cultural and natural heritage management from the perspective of ethics, tourism and world heritage.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to able able to identify natural heritage, cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage and tangible cultural heritage and to provde information about how to protect heritage
2   To be able provide information about the foundation, development and operation of the international system regarding protection of heritage
3   To be able explain intangible and tangible cultural, natural heritage items of Türkiye
4   To be able to know heritage across the world and explain world heritage with statistical knowledge

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

1.Midterm Exam: Mid-term exam covers the topics examined in the course and weekly assignments (40%).
2.Final Exam: Final exam covers all subjects in the course content. Students are also responsible for the discussion, practice and case studies (60%).
