Course Objective

Within the scope of this course, it is the main purpose to clarify the phenomenon of social movements, which has an important place both in our daily life and in the social sciences literature, in the context of historical sociology. Based on the comparative historical method, clarifying different social movements in the context of the dynamics of social change realized in both theoretical and everyday life constitutes the basic setup of this course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Within the scope of the course, different social movements that occurred in our country and internationally will be covered.
2   It is the main content of this course to clarify different movements in the context of social movement repertoires that have emerged both in the past and today.
3   It is based on discussing movement repertoires representing old, new and global social movements through different examples in historical sociological context.
