Course Objective

The aim of this course is to discuss translations/translators not only on a linguistic or textual basis but on a socio-cultural context by making students aware of current issues in translation studies. The objective is to get students adopt the habit of following current issues in translation profession.

1. Assessment will be based on assignments and participation (30%), mid-term (30%) and final exam (40%).
2. Assignments throughout the semester will be expected from the students.
