Course Objective

The aim of this course is to evaluate historical development of democracy born in consequence of modernization, kinds and other examples in the world history

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   get information about basis and content of Comparative History of Democracy
2   understand importance of political, social and economic haritage taken from the Greek Antiquity and the Middle Ages for democracy
3   explain relationship among democracy and modernization
4   explain relationship between modernization schools and democracy types from comparative point of view
5   analyze non-western democracies and their problems
6   analyze system of constituational superiority with that of assembly
7   make a comparative evaluation of substruction which is necessary for the birth and progress of democracy
