Course Objective

The objectives of this course are to teach students the game like exercises, technical learning stages and basic competition rules of hurdling branches, sprints, distance runs, relays; long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault; shot put, discus throw, javelin throw and hammer throw.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding the general structure of running, jumping, throwing, walking and multiple branches which generate the athletics sport branch
2   Recognizing the field and equipment of Athletics
3   Converting the learning exercises of Sprints, Distance running and Relays into skill
4   Converting the learning exercises of Long jump, Triple jump, high jump and pole vault into skill
5   Converting the learning exercises of Shot putting, Discus throwing, Javelin throwing and hammer throwing into skill
6   Converting the learning exercises of Walking branches into skill
7   Understanding the basic contest rules of Athletics branches
8   Understanding the Rules of Competition Organizations of Athletics
