Course Objective

The aim of the course is to analyze conflict, understand the dynamics between the parties in a conflict, abd determining the apparopriate method of conflict resolution. In addition the course will focus on the most apparopriate conflict resolution techniques. The course will provide necessary skills; one can effectively exercise the available or cretae options for conflict resolution with the required resolution techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gain an understanding of central concepts in conflict resolution and its technical aspects.
2   Identify possible individual, group, and organizational level factors affecting conflict situaitons and determine possible conflict resolution techniques.
3   Obtain exposure to selcetive aspects of the conflict resolution literature and its application in different social, organizational and interpersonal contexts.
4   Gain an understanding of advanced methods in order to resolve the conflict issues with the best possible technique.
5   Develop oral/written communication skills; articulate and defend his/her position.
6   Develop and enhance the essential interpersonal skills to be an effective team member.

2) Problem Identification: Recognize the problems, issues (20 Points)
