Course Objective

Enabling the student to be familiar with disability and to enhance their ability to analyze the situations faced by people with disabilities in society as well as their rights and integration to community.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines the basic concepts and principles of the Handicapped
2   Knows of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)
3   Identifies the problems faced by disabled people in the community
4   Knows that the individual rights of disabled
5   Able to establish and implement exercise program for individuals with different obstacles
6   Know and apply the necessary assessment and physiotherapy approaches for social resettlement of disabled individuals
7   Know multidisciplinary team work

3 Causes of disability, Classification: Visually, hearing and orthopedically disabled people
4 Social political rights of disability

6 disability and traffic- transportation
7 disability and informatics-accessibility
8 internal environment arrangement for persons with disabilities
9 external environment arrangement for person with disabilities
10 projects related to the disabled (national and international)
11 Education for persons with disabilities
12 disability and sports
13 propective and preventive applications, physical activities and exercise for disability
14 phychological problems and counselling services in disability
