Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to introduce the contributions of the Romans to the area of civilization, especially their creations in rhetoric, law, and administrative areas.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
2   have the scientific literature related to the content of the course.
3   define the main concepts and facts related to the subject.
4   expound the social and political organization of the Roman state.
5   explain the effects of the management concept of the Roman state on the contemporary state administrations.
6   analyze the development of law and rhetoric in Rome and its reflections on the modern world.
7   state the developments in the Roman historiography in the context of the Roman civilization.
8   evaluate the contribution of the Roman civilization on the social-positive sciences, architecture-engineering, and plastics arts.
