Course Objective |
This lesson aims to have an analysis on the true nature of religious and occultic associations and on the loyality and fidelity of their member and attendants in classification with the basis of their doctrines, rituals, believes and symbolic languages. The word used in Turkish to express the religious and occultic associations is "tarikat" from Arabic and it refers mostly to the islamic branches, but in the history of mankind and particularly in the history of West it is something more general than the Arabic meaning implies and it refers to associations, societies, clubs and so on. Tarikat is a religious way and order in Islam and their doctrines are always open to public but historical western societies are mostly closed to publix and they are defined by the words "sacred" and "occultic". The main expectation of the lesson is to give an idea to the studends on what kind of role these associations played in the history. |
