Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to achieve a necessary understanding of the process of the foundation of the republic and the revolution; the period of single party; the transition to the multi-party system. To make students understand the establishment and revolution process of the Republic of Türkiye, the single-party period and its events, and the internal and external dynamics of the transition to multi-party life. To examine the social reflections and cultural changes of the radical changes experienced with the Republic.

Assessment Criteria

1. LO 1-3: This will be evaluated through the performance in the term examination.
2. LO 4-5: This will be evaluated through the performance in the final examination.
3. LO 1-5: This will be evaluated through the performance in the term condition exam.

1. 80% attendance is obligatory. You cannot enter class more than 20 minutes late.
2. Non-attendance will not be considered as an acceptable excuse.
3. Participation to the term and final examinations will be considered in the
evaluation.
4. Students are expected to act in accordance with scientific rules in lessons and homework.
5. Course materials are uploaded to online.deu.edu.tr.
6. Students are expected to behave in accordance with their student identity in classes.
