Course Objective |
Advances in science and technology facilitate the management and control of chronic diseases, while empowering individuals in disease management. Many protocols, action plans, development goals and strategies are being developed for diabetes, which concerns 10% of the world's population and is expected to affect more than 600 million people by 2030. With all these applications, technology has started to be used in order to achieve the desired level of goals. In recent years, diabetes technology has developed rapidly and new technologies have been developed. These developed technologies have contributed to the management of diabetes and improving the quality of life of individuals. These technological developments, which are used in diabetes management and on which studies continue, aim to increase the individual's control over the disease, quality of life and comfort. Individuals with diabetes need to be supported with technology to increase and strengthen their self-management. Therefore, it is important for health professionals to increase their knowledge in this field in order to have knowledge and ideas about technological developments and to fulfill their educational and consultancy roles. Readings on this subject can provide a basis for new ideas for solutions, the development of the features of the technological products used, or the discovery of different products. |
