The course aims to give the students an understanding of geometry of curved quadric surfaces, which are the main forms of contemporary large-span structures. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
This is a lecture course supported by homeworks. Definitions of curvature, Gaussian Curvature, synclastic and anticlastic surfaces, generation of quadric, rotational, translational and ruled surfaces. The analytical formulation of these surfaces will be given to students as well as their applied examples related to each topic. |
