Course Objective

The objective of this course is to develop ability of abtract thinking and designing regarding form-function and structure relationship in the context of environment and theme with concrete projects/designs
.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to comprehend environmental, functional, formal and structural elements of architectural design.
2   To be able to comprehend relations among human, body and space and use antropometric data during architectural design
3   To be able to solve relations among form, function and structure in spaces having simple functions.
4   To be able to design closed, semi open and open spaces by constructing hierarchical relations among the spaces.
5   To be able to present his/her project using different medias (oral, written, digital etc.)

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Courses / Application: Instructors and students will both take part in presentations and discussions during introduction of the themes of course. Students will perform their two and three dimensional design excises along with the critics of instructors.
