Course Objective

The aim of this course is to give the students basic knowledge about computer hardware, computer arithmetic, computer architecture, computer networks, operating systems, programming concepts and script languages.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have basic information about basic computer hardware and software
2   To solve problems by means of computer arithmetic
3   To understand basics of computer architecture
4   To understand the types of programming languages, and the paradigms
5   To understand a computational problem specification and algorithmic solution

Assessment Criteria

The course outcomes, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be evaluated with midterm and final exams.
The achievements of the students from the laboratory section will be evaluated by the questions both in midterm and final exams.
