Course Objective

This course aims to provide students an understanding of various ergonomic assessment techniques and how these assessments can be used for reducing the potential for accidents, injury and ill health, improving performance and productivity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to ensure that the work and work environment are compatible with worker
2   To be able to define how the expectations from the worker can be evaluated from the perspective of ergonomics while performing a job
3   To be able to determine continuous performance limits in static and dynamic tasks
4   To be able to establish the relationship between heart rate and continuous performance limit
5   To be able to calculate ergonomic risk factors of the work environment
6   To be able to make ergonomic analyzes and reports through teamwork
