Course Objective

In this course, the sociological experiences of the youth along with the social actions and actors that affect these experiences in the world and in Türkiye are discussed especially during the social process moving from the industrial society to the post-modern society, which is also called the post-industrial society or consumer society. In this context, the course aims to deal with the developmental crises of the youth period and a series of psycho-social problems accompanying identity formation, and also the problems of anomie and alienation created by the commercial exploitation of the global capitalist cultural industries targeting this young audience, which is open to all kinds of influences.
