Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the inflential events and personalities of American history in the latter half of the twentieth century. Our focus will be on the Cold War and its geopolitical impacts. Billy Joel's song, "We Didn't Start the Fire" will be a jumping-off point for us, as that song is a useful summary of the aforementioned events and personalities.
