Course Objective

In this course, American Foreign Policy is explained separately in each period since its establishment and ends with the September 11 Attack and Globalization policies. In particular, US relations with Türkiye are also within the scope of this course. In addition, for each different period of US foreign policy, the situation in the international environment is discussed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   American Foreign Policy and different periods of this policy are studied
2   Different periods of American Policy are evaluated considering the existing international relations, too
3   To understand the international relations, important topics of international relations are also studied
4   International relations is interpreted by decision makers differently because of perception
5   Students should be able to benefit from international relation theories from when they evaluate the American Foreign Policy

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Explaining the topic to students through interactive presentations and supporting it with visual materials, followed by in-depth analysis of the topic through student discussions.
