Course Objective |
The purpose of this course is to teach the nature of mathematics and mathematical thinking, the meaning of learning and teaching of mathematics, the purpose and main principles of teaching of mathematics, the history of teaching of mathematics, the reflections of learning and teaching approaches on mathematics teaching, the main skills in mathematics teaching, examples of in-class applications, recent approaches in mathematics teaching and its' problems, the components of the effective mathematics teaching and looking at mathematics teaching in social, cultural and economic perspectives. |
