Course Objective

The development of Turkish foreign policy within the framework of the changing international system, the process of Turkish foreign policy formation and actors will be given information about. The development process and practices of Turkish diplomacy in the recent period will be discussed. Turkey's foreign policy objectives in the recent period and the principles that dominate the conduct of international relations will be examined. Evaluations will be made about international problems and the diplomacy practiced by the Republic of Turkey in the face of these problems will be emphasized. The impact of the foreign policy followed in the recent period on international relations will be evaluated.

1   Learn progress and principles of the modern Turkish foreign policy
2   Understand methods and instruments of the Turkish foreign policy
3   Recognize changes in modern global situation
4   Know the position of Turkey in international system of policy after Cold War
5   Evaluate foreign policy of Turkey towards certain regions of World, international institutions and role makers

1. LO 1-3 will be asked in mid-term exam
2. LO 1-5 will be asked in final exam
3. LO 1-5 will be assessed by presentations and homeworks
