Course Objective

As a result of the policies for competitive market economy, which is the basis of classical and neoclassical economic view in the world economy, an economic structure in which foreign trade and global economic relations are determinant has emerged. From this point of view, the aim of this course is to learn methodological approaches and techniques and alternative approaches for analyzing the mutual relations between global and local market decision makers and states within the this structure.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to comprehend the basic development process of international political economy as a new discipline
2   To be able to evaluate and analyze international relations in terms of economic decision-making agents
3   To be able to distinguish the improvements and institutions that led to the formation of the international economic structure and to analyze the effects of these institutions on the world economy
4   Uluslararası finansan ve parasal sistemin devletlerin karşılıklı ilişkilerine etkisini değerlendirebilme
5   To be able to asses the impact of the international financial and monetary system on the mutual relations of states
6   To be able to analyze the relationship between economy and politics at Domestic and global level

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Explains the basic theories about the theory of international economics in the course. The course aim to provide ability of analyze to students with exemplify the explanatory power events in the these theories. After processing each subject at least ten questions on the subject asking to student for controlling student understood and agreed the topic.
