Course Objective

To recognize the phases of globalization in the historical process, to analyze the impact of the globalization phenomenon, which has gained momentum since the 1980s, on the ideologies of liberalism, capitalism, socialism and nationalism, to discuss the dimensions of globalization such as economic, political, socio-cultural, geographical and ecological, technological globalization, to examine international cooperation organizations and Turkey's relationship with these organizations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have detailed knowledge about globalization, modernity and nation-states.
2   To provide information on the characteristics of globalization, modernity and nation-states.
3   Recognition of international economic and security cooperation organizations.
4   To have knowledge about economic, social and cultural outcomes of globalization.
5   Analyzing the effects of globalization and modernity on nation state structures.
