Course Objective

The aim of the course is to enable students to be aware of the social and cultural effects of the digital transformation process, to recognize digital technologies, digital media and tools, and to come to a level where they can use them competently. At the end of the course, it is aimed to ensure that students dominate the use of digital media and tools, and to increase their awareness and questioning levels about these areas.

1   Knows concepts and terms related to digital culture, platforms and technologies.
2   Gains the ability to use digital platforms and digital media effectively and consciously.
3   Can produce basic content on digital platforms.
4   Gains the ability to distinguish risks and benefits related to content on digital platforms.
5   It exhibits ethical behaviors that include privacy, accuracy, intellectual property and access rights in digital environments.

Assessment Criteria

Exam papers will be evaluated regarding the level of understanding, as well as defining the causality between the basic concepts and issues of the lecture, ability of giving examples and analytical thought and using relevant terminology.
