Course Objective

In this course, in modern times, especially after industry in the world and Türkiye, its presence is always revealed by current social conditions and social problems that continue transformed into and in different ways, new challenges and solutions will be discussed with a sociological perspective.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn basic conceptual and theoretical approaches to social problems.
2   Analyze the causes of social problems occurring simultaneously in various societies and cultures and affecting other societies and cultures.
3   Understands the research methods and techniques related to the sociology of social problems.
4   Makes sociological evaluations about the dynamics, prevention and solutions of social problems that come to the fore at the global and local scale.
5   Have knowledge about various interventions and social services professional practices related to current social problems experienced in the area of Türkiye.
