Course Objective

Students will gain an understanding of the relationships between Earth's landscapes and the people who inhabit those places as well as insight into globalization and geopolitics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognize how regional geography combines human and physical geography concepts
2   Be familiar with the locations of and some attributes of regions, countries, important cities, and important physical features in the world.
3   Learn how maritime administrators approach world geopolitical issues.
4   Evaluate reading, listening, and map analysis skills.
5   Discuss the international environment of shipping and logistics
