Course Objective

This course provides an opportunity for students to engage in original research in any topic of IR, and to prepare a written work on the scale of a review article.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will analyze one IR issue to better comprehend the IR agenda.
2   will be able to design a research analysis to demonstrate their critical thinking and reading abilities.
3   will be able to acquire adequate writing skills to demonstrate the ability to employ scientific analysis.
4   will be able to acquire adequate writing skills to demonstrate the ability to employ IR terminology.
5   will study independently and in groups.
6   will appropriately use international communication technology to do research.

1) a theoretical framework/ literature review;
2) defined research question/s;
3) developed argument/s;
4) proper citations;
5) an organized structure including an introduction, conclusion and subsections.

1. Learners are expected to attend at least 70 % of classes.
2. Learners are considered to have cheated if they copy the work of another during an examination or turn in a paper or an assignment written whole or in part by someone else. Students are guilty of plagiarism,intentional or not, if they copy materials from books, magazines or other sources without identifying or acknowledging those sources or if they paraphrase ideas from such sources without acknowledging them.
