Course Objective

The purpose of the course is to lay the fundamentals of an entrepreneurship culture for the learner. For this purpose, not only the concept and culture of entrepreneurship will be discussed but also types and experiences of entrepreneurship from around the world will be assessed throughout the course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have developed an awareness of the concept and culture of entrepreneurship, with regard to the major experiences and applications of entrepreneurship around the world.
2   Demonstrate the knowledge of difference among the major cultures of entrepreneurship, putting their knowledge in practice in international business environment.

Assessment Criteria

1. The learner will define the concept of entrepreneurship giving reference to the main components of entrepreneurship culture.
2. The learner will compare the different entrepreneurship types showing his/her ability to put the knowledge acquired in this field into practical realities of the international business environment

Course Policies and Rules

1. Although the course is mainly based on lectures, around 20 % of each session is intended for class discussion, based on the lecture itself and assigned readings. Therefore, students are expected to be prepared for class participation at each session.
2. Attending at least 70 percent of lectures is mandatory.
3. Plagiarism of any type will result in disciplinary action.
