Course Objective

Based upon the knowledge that translation is a profession in which world knowledge is very important, the aim of this course is to provide students with the skills of defining and interpreting 20th century written and verbal literary texts and to inform the students about the terminology of 20th century literary texts and the pioneers of literary trends and exemplary texts with various techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand and analyze semantic and textual structures in source and target languages
2   Interpret written and verbal products of source language and culture system and compare them with the products of target language
3   Criticise during the translation process and display creativity
4   Learn terminolgy in literary translation through research
5   Learn working individually and in a group
