Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to provide students with a general conceptual framework regarding history, about the definition, scope and development of history as a scientific discipline from the 19th century to the present. Discussing the existence of history and comprehending the development within the development process of the Philosophy of History are among the aims of the course.

1   Obtaining general source information about the philosophy of history
2   Ability to discuss and comment on what history is
3   To have knowledge about the debates about history from ancient times to the present day.
4   Gaining knowledge about the usefulness of history and its importance for the Türkiye and the World
5   Acquire the ability to look at history from the perspective of different fields
