Course Objective

Recognizing Turkish in historical periods of Turkic Languages, learning semantic and grammar structures, giving skills of analyzing morphology and etymology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns expantion and speaking regions of Turkish froms beginning to today.
2   Learns process of etymology and its relation and contributions to other scientific areas.
3   Recognizes languages on the basis of their origins, and position of Turkish among other world languages.
4   Learns the morphology and origins of Turkish.
5   Learns relation and interaction of Turkish with other languages.
6   Recognizes Turkish etymological dictionaries and learns how to use them

4 Language categorizations, languages based on their origins, and position of Turkish among other languages.
5 Etymological dictionaries, etymological dictionaries that written about Turkish, and properties of these dictionaries.
6 Turkish etymological dictionaries and properties of these dictionaries

8 Usage of etymological dictionaries, origins of words in the language, etymologyical studies on Turkish.
