Course Objective

Recognizing Turkish in its historical periods, learning its morphology and origin and analyzing information.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognizes languages on their morphological structure and learn the position of Turkish among Wrold languages.
2   Learn historical progress of Turkish language, and its expanding areas from begining to current day
3   Learn morpholgy and origin of Turkish
4   Laern languages in the basis of their origins.
5   Learn interaction and relation of Turkish with other languages
6   Learn progress of ethymology and its relation and contrubition to other fields
7   Learn etymological dictionaries of Turkish and using them

1 Definiation of morphology, its relation with other fields, contribution of morphology to other linguistic fields.
2 Languages in the basis of morphology and position of Turkish among them. Categorizations of languages by morphology
3 Morphological properties of Turkish
4 Interaction between languages, ınteraction of Turkish with World languages. (Turkish-Chinese, Turksih Persian interactions)
5 Interaction of Turkish with World languages (Turkish-Urdu, Turkish-Arabic, Turkish-Russian interactions)
6 Interaction of Turkish with World languages. (Turksih-Bulgarian, Turkish-Hungarian, Turkish-Armenian, Turkish-Roman languages interactions)
7 Midterm
8 Morphology of Turkish, morphem in Turkish, rules that arrange relations of suffix-suffix, suffix-word, word-word in morphology of Turkish
