Course Objective

Learning similiarities and differences between languages based on Oguz-Turcoman Turkish. recognizing Azerbaijan language and literature on texts written in differnet scripts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning the area that Azerbaijan Turkish is spoken.
2   Shadow forth the similarities and differences between languages based on Oğuz Türkmen Turkish.
3   Similarities between Azerbaijan Turkish and Türkiye Turkish and semtinize the reasons of this similarities
4   Having knowledge about Azerbaijan Turkish. Learning the researches on Azerbaijan Turkish.
5   Having knowledge about history and literature about Azerbaijan Turks.
6   Learning scripts that used by Azerbaijan Turks and understanding Azerbaijan language and culture.
7   Learning scripts that used by Azerbaijan Turks and understanding Azerbaijan language and culture.

1 Expansion areas of Turkic languages, categorization of modern Turkic languages.
2 History, population and social structure of Azerbaijan.
3 The reasons prepare the born of Azerbaijan Turkish, and historical progress of Azerbaijan Turkish
4 Azerbaijan literature and its important figures; eras, written and oral forms of Azerbaijan literature
5 The scripts which used in Azerbaijan Turkish, Arabian Cyrillic and Latin alfabets, sound and mark indicators of this alphabets
6 Readings of selected Cyrillic and Arabian scripted texts.
7 Midterm
8 Readings of selected Cyrillic and Arabian scripted texts, vocabulary knowledge of Azerbaijan Turkish and word types.
9 Readings of selected Cyrillic and Arabian scripted texts, vocabulary knowledge of Azerbaijan Turkish and word types.
10 Readings of selected Cyrillic and Arabian scripted texts, lexicology of Azerbaijan Turkish, lexicological and morphological studies.
